About the Author

Award winning author Marian Dodds writes creative nonfiction reflecting a lifetime of teaching, counselling, advocacy and international work. A Simon Fraser University Writer’s Studio graduate, Marian circles the planet from the Arctic to Africa, exploring colonialism, feminism, and cultural learning.

In the buffet of life, she favours savoury over sweet.
